Reading Comprehension: I Can Read Spanish!  (Quiz 5)

This Spanish Difficult Review quiz is the final quiz in a series of five that challenges you on your reading comprehension ability. To have made it this far in the three levels of Spanish review quizzes is an amazing feat! You should be very proud of yourself.

As you may recall from the first quiz in the series, the challenge of the entire series was to test you and stretch your ability to be able to comprehend quickly in Spanish. That means being able to think in Spanish.

Quiz 1 and Quiz 2 were the easiest in the series in that, although the reading paragraphs were in Spanish, the quiz questions and the quiz answers were given to you in English. Quiz 3 and 4 were a little more challenging in that the quiz questions were also in Spanish while the answers remained in English. Now it is time to really stretch your learning. For this quiz (Quiz 4) you will be required to do everything in Spanish, i.e., the short paragraphs are in Spanish, the quiz questions are in Spanish and the Answers are in Spanish. There is one additional challenge – see if you can take this quiz without having to translate everything in your head over to English and then back into Spanish. Rather, see if you can read, understand (comprehend) and find the correct answers all while thinking in Spanish. It’s a tall challenge but with all of the practice you have had up to this point, you should find that it is not as difficult as you first might think.

If you do find that you need to translate everything in your head, then come back to this quiz in a day or two and see if you can do it without translating. You can try this task several times until it does become natural and your brain really begins thinking and comprehending in Spanish. Now, let’s take a look at two short paragraphs followed by the quiz! Best of luck!
